Humble Bee Films produced an unusual documentary about parrots living in cities around the world. The series was narrated by Rob Brydon, for Terra Mater Factual Studios.
Some of the facts and figures in the programme were difficult to illustrate with live-action footage, so they commissioned us to produce a series of explanatory graphics and animations featuring illustrated parrots, maps and locators.
The production team wanted something fun that reflected the colourful, quirky and playful nature of parrots, so we adopted a bright colour palette and cartoon style for the parrot characters.
